Annual "Chip Patten" Pinewood Derby Workshop for Cub Scouts
This fun activity helps Cub Scouts and their parents who need assistance building a Pinewood Derby car. Bring your own car kit purchased from our Marin Council Trading Post stock, and already have a design in mind. Council adult volunteers and OA Talako Lodge Arrowmen will be onsite to assist with directing traffic, managing check-in and working with power tools and other equipment to help you rough out the shape. Additional stations will help with sanding the shape, weighing and accessories available from the trading post. In addition weather-dependent, a snack shack and hotdog lunch booth may be availalble, and some shooting sports activities such as BB-gun and Slingshot (CampTamarancho only) may be offered by our Council Shooting Sports volunteers with range-time sign-ups available at the check-in booth.
Due to the popularity of this annual Marin Council event and the landslide repairs being completed on our Iron Springs Road, the location will be announced soon. Thanks for your support to ensure we have a smooth day at Pit Row!
